Come for the talks. Stay for the people.

We run a handful of different nights, from monthly meetups to full-day labs. Here's what each one is, who it's for and what you'll actually do there.

Whatever you come to

Every event, the same promise.

The format changes. The feel doesn't. It's a great place for everyone to get together and celebrate the community.

01

Speakers who've done the work

Every talk comes from someone actually building with Claude. Real projects, real numbers, and the bits that went wrong.

02

It's interactive

Questions mid-talk, demos you can poke at, open mics and show and tell. Nobody sits in silence for two hours.

03

You get involved

Bring a laptop, pitch a lightning talk, help the person next to you. The best nights are the ones the room runs.

04

A celebration of the community

Good food, a drink and the people building with Claude in your city. It's a great time, and it's how most collaborations start.

What we run.

Seven formats, one community. Pick the one that fits how you work, or come to all of them.

Claude Community meetups

Our bread and butter. A night in your city with talks, demos and war stories from people shipping with Claude Code. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra so far.

What to expect
  • Two or three talks from people doing the work, plus lightning talks
  • A live demo, and the odd thing breaking on screen
  • Food, drinks and a room full of people building with Claude near you

Build Days

When a new model drops, we get the community in a room to build with it straight away. Brisbane and Sydney ran Fable 5.1 Build Days on back-to-back nights in September, and Brisbane went again for Opus 5.5 in October, with US$100 in Claude API credits for every attendee.

What to expect
  • Demos of the new model first, then a protected block of build time
  • Mentors on the floor when you get stuck
  • Demos to the room, and judges pick the winners

Full dayTeamsReal problems

Claude Impact Lab

A full day where teams build a local answer to a real problem. It's about what gets built, not talks. The first Claude Impact Lab in APAC ran in Melbourne in May 2026 with about sixty builders, and the next Melbourne Lab grows out of what came up at the Claude Conversation night.

What to expect
  • A real brief, shaped by the people it affects
  • Mixed teams, mentors and a full day of building
  • Pitches at the end, and work that keeps going after

Claude Conversations

One hard question: what does AI mean for my job? Thirty people, small mixed tables, good food and an honest conversation. Melbourne ran its first on Monday 27 July 2026.

What to expect
  • Four or five people to a table, deliberately mixed
  • A few guided questions, then your own take
  • Each table lands one big idea, which can feed an Impact Lab

Claude for Developers

The more technical end of what we run. Agents, MCP, multi-agent orchestration and production workflows, for people who live in a terminal.

What to expect
  • Two deep dives on screen, with the code
  • Pizza and networking, where the best questions get asked
  • A live demo and lightning talks anyone can pitch

Claude for Everyone

From zero to useful in one night. Product managers, designers, founders, public servants and engineers, seeing what Claude can actually do for their work.

What to expect
  • A hands-on demo of Claude doing real work, start to finish
  • An open mic where people share how they use it
  • Live Q&A where no question is too basic

Webinars

For everyone who can't get to a room. Our April 2026 webinar had seven lightning talks from builders across Australia and New Zealand, hosted by Rye Smith and Dominik Fretz.

What to expect
  • Short, practical talks from people building with Claude
  • Live Q&A with the community
  • A recording for members if you miss it

Got something to show? Get on stage.

Every format runs on talks from the community. Five minutes is plenty, and first-timers are welcome.
