# Claude Code Community Australia

> The official Anthropic-backed Claude community for Australia: free Claude meetups, Claude Code training, Claude Cowork sessions, courses, workshops and hackathons across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Everything you need to learn Claude, Claude Code, MCP and agentic AI workflows in Australia.

Claude Code Community Australia (claudecommunity.com.au) is the home of Claude Code in Australia. We bring together developers, founders, marketers and professionals who build with Claude: from first prompts to Claude Code, the Claude API, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, agents and agentic workflows. Membership is free and everything we run is community-first.

What we run:

- Claude meetups and Claude Code workshops in every major Australian city
- Claude Cowork sessions: bring your laptop and build alongside the community
- Claude training and courses, from beginner fundamentals to advanced agentic workflows
- Hackathons and showcase nights for projects built with Claude

## Community leaders

Claude Code Community Australia is led by Australia's Claude Ambassadors:

- Rye Smith (Melbourne): Claude Ambassador for Australia and member of Anthropic's global Claude Community Council. Founder of Spruik, a Melbourne Claude agency for AI-powered digital marketing and automation. Has delivered Claude training and Claude Code workshops to more than 1,000 professionals across 11 cities.
- Dominik Fretz (Sydney): Claude Ambassador for Australia. Founder of Harbour Edge, a Sydney Claude agency building agentic AI solutions with Claude and Claude Code.
